Supporting a New Operator Licence Application and Transport Compliance Setup

A transport operator sought to establish full compliance readiness while applying for and securing their Operator’s Licence. As a new licence holder, they required structured systems, policies, and operational controls to meet regulatory expectations from day one.

We acted as the nominated Transport Manager and provided end-to-end support to build a compliant transport operation. This included developing the foundations of their compliance systems and ensuring processes were practical, auditable, and sustainable.

We delivered a structured compliance setup covering key areas of operator responsibility:

• Acting as the nominated Transport Manager throughout the Operator’s Licence application and beyond into operations for 2026 and beyond.
• Writing and implementing essential transport policies and guidance notes to support driver and management understanding of compliance requirements.
• Establishing regular tachograph data download procedures to ensure accurate monitoring of driver activity and legal adherence.
• Designing and implementing a structured Vehicle Off Road (VOR) system, including clear processes and control measures for vehicle availability and maintenance tracking.
• Introducing tachograph compliance controls, including signed driver declaration sheets to confirm responsibility and awareness of legal requirements.
• Supporting operational resilience by arranging access to additional drivers and vehicle resources to ensure continuity of service.

The operator successfully obtained their Operator’s Licence with a robust compliance framework in place. Clear systems and documentation were established from the outset, reducing risk and providing a strong foundation for ongoing regulatory compliance and operational stability.
