Rugby World Cup 2015

L&SC Ltd entered a competitive tender process to deliver Consultants, Professional Drivers and Transport Managers to England Rugby 2015. 

Provide a 60 Strong T1 Driver provision for all Rugby World Cup and England Rugby 2015 Directors.

Provide additional driver support for busy events (flexing to 125 drivers on one particular day) including the knock out stages and special events- this could be flexed to 90 drivers across the board.

Provide 13 Transport Managers/Co-ordinators working from sites across the UK to facilitate the provision and tasking of T2 deployment.

Provide Pool Car Co-ordinator dedicated to England Rugby 2015 portfolio which included decommission.

• Ensure contractual obligations and timeline/ milestones were fulfilled with the client
• Fleet Team trained and briefed in a timely fashion in partnership with the client.
• Management Team assigned and appointed roles/ responsibilities. 
• Appoint a dedicated project manager and staffing lead 
• Further liaison with RWC PA and meetings arranged with Directors for familiarisation
• Provision of a scheduler and pool car coordinator to facilitate operations with client
• Staffing of a 24/7 control, with which the client could liaise at any time
• Respond to the client’s needs both fast and slow time- often upscaling resources within short time frames
• Respond to 13 separate depots across the UK
• Managing overnight accommodation of drivers and associated travel management
• Robust supervision of driver hours and shifts during the event.

Every single journey fulfilled in a timely and diligent manner.

No lateness or negative feedback from the client or any of its associates.

A significant contribution to working in partnership and maximising public confidence combined with a professional and efficient service delivery.

We ascertained that there were 0 incidents, in just over 9 weeks and 10,000 hours of driving.

No damage to any vehicle recorded in the de-commission process.
